Here's what I wrote on my blog. I'll get a few links from a few sources and post tomorrow. "It shows a massacre of peaceful demonstrators during a people's uprising in Guinea, West Africa. After 23 years under a neoliberal-loving president who came to power under a military coup d'etat, the people of Guinea, led by unions, held several days of country-wide strikes in February. In an attempt to get the country "under control," President Lansana Conte brought in mercenaries from nearby Guinea-Bissau (to cover the atrocities already being committed by the Guinean army) to do the real dirty work. The President was forced to choose a new Prime Minister who is trying to put together a new cabinet. The people of Guinea are getting restless. Stay tuned."

Shirley,

Do you have a link with some background on what's happening in Guinea? This is a shocking video, thank you for sharing.
